What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a natural state of enhanced mental and physical relaxation, in which our subconscious mind is able to communicate directly with our conscious mind. During the state of hypnosis, people are more susceptible to taking on board positive suggestions.

What does being in hypnosis feel like?
Whilst everyone's experience of being in hypnosis is different, it's commonly described as incredibly relaxing, and similar to being engrossed in a good book or film.

Can enter anyone hypnosis?
In reality all hypnosis is self-hypnosis, so as long as someone is willing then, yes, anyone can enter a state of hypnosis.

Will I be made to do anything I don't want to?
Absolutely not. You are always in full control of everything you say and everything you do.

What is hypnotherapy?
A form of psychotherapy, hypnotherapy is the use of hypnosis within a clinical setting. Hypnotherapy can help increase motivation for change, enhance personal growth, and/or release people from problems and the causes of their problems.

How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions needed to achieve long-lasting change depends on the issue(s) to be addressed. As everyone is unique, it also depends on the person themselves. Smoking cessation hypnotherapy can often take a single 90 minute session. However, for issues such as weight loss, confidence building, or other deep-rooted issues, people may require more.
